3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DanielBrown (2718) - Birmingham (via Leicester), - FEB 24, 2006
Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Darkish with shafts of red light. Thin, but stable beige head. I wrongly assumed this was a Mild, in which case I thought it a lightly flavoured and enjoyable example. The fact that it’s a Porter doesn’t mean I enjoyed it any less. Nice, sparing roast edges. You can really sink this.

Bottle, not sure where I got this from, consumed outside camper at Bo Peep campsite, Adderbury, Nr Banbury, Oxon, 03.09.10 Pours dark brown with a filmy off-white head. There is some nuttiness and a touch of tangy fruits. A light bitterness is evident but the nuttiness more than anything shows through. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
