Bottle (in Sept 2012) - Golden in colour. Malty; biscuity malts, caramel. Fruity; citrus orange. Hoppy; floral and spicy hops. Sweet malty and fruity throughout with slight balancing hop bitterness. OK. Drinkable.

a_cross (600) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2013
Cask; deep gold, clear; thin creamy white head; thick mouthfeel; toffeeish crystal malt and some woody hops; dry with a biscuity finish; not my favourite Cotleigh beer (wish I’d gone for the Barn Owl on the adjacent pump) and not the dark delight I had anticipated when I saw Winter Ale on the clip; bit disappointing all told.

Malty bitter ruined a bit by being cloyingly sweet. Not particularly good I’m afraid.

Cask (Tivoli (JDW), Cambridge)
Pleasant black tea aroma. Milky palate, carbonation low. Milky grains. Gentle bitterness. Just a bit nutty at the end. Probably muted by the sparkler.
