Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 16, 2007 Cask at Three Judges. An orange-amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a lightly bitter finish. omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 26, 2006 Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm (labelled Tawny Owl). Clear amber. Dusty vegetable aroma. Sweet and fruity with some not so pleasant flavour reminiscent of a used vacuum cleaner bag. Light to medium bodied with soft mouthfeel, some caramelly malt flavour and notes of sulphur. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Feb 6, 2005 Cask@The Cross Keys, Central London. Some toffee/caramel , some lemon tang. An averagly drinkable cask ale. It was a bit grainy and thin once again. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 19, 2007 Cask. Clear bright orange, 1cm white head. Pleasant, fruity and tea-like ale with orange citric notes, but not the acidity to go with them. Juicy and floral, almost banana-like soft esters. Tropical and exotic notiong. Soft, but simple ale. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Jan 16, 2006 Cask hanpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Brownish copper colour with lasting bubbly beige head. I’ve always liked Cotleigh beers and this is no exception. Good hop/malt mix on the aroma. Hops have some earthiness. Malts are juicy and full in mouth. Finish has drying hop and a bit of herb. Fruits are red berry, bit of pear and red apple. Excellent session beer.
