andyfoot (1), Bournemouth, England does not count Jul 22, 2005 My father lives in Devon and introduced me to this wonderful ale. A more moreish beer I have never tasted! Nekronos (1943), Xalapa, Mexico Jan 18, 2006 Too bitters last night. BUt anyway, this was very drinkable, a little dark, but stills being a bitter. Bubbling in head. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Jan 16, 2006 Cask hanpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Brownish copper colour with lasting bubbly beige head. I’ve always liked Cotleigh beers and this is no exception. Good hop/malt mix on the aroma. Hops have some earthiness. Malts are juicy and full in mouth. Finish has drying hop and a bit of herb. Fruits are red berry, bit of pear and red apple. Excellent session beer. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 25, 2005 Mild, fruity caramel aroma. Clear copper coloured body with low, off-white, fine bubbled head that recedes to lasting cover and coats the glass. Strong, fresh malty flavour with some notes of caramel and a fair fruitiness. Medium body with fair carbonation and creamy texture. Cask at the Five Bells (Clyst Hydon, Devon). Fukito (595), Buenos Aires, Argentina Dec 24, 2007 Cask at The Rake, november 07. Shinny golden/ copper color with a small white rim. Nutty/ cereal flavor with some very slight spicy hops. Dried fruits ending. Medium to light mouthfeel, warming and inviting. Mild with a nutty feeling. Some slightly sulphurous and cereal notes on the nose. Warming, drinkable mild.
