Carlus12 (361), London, Greater London, England May 12, 2008 Cask @ The Bear, Camberwell. Deep orange colour with small white head. Aroma is earthy, malty, sulphur. Taste is caramel, nutty, malty with decent hoppy finish. Good session bitter.

Mid orange-brown, tiny head. Black tea aroma, a little nutty. Slightly watery, not thin though. Taste has some slight sourness, some over-ripe fruit esters, and wet sheep. Decent hop component, but not particularly exciting. Maybe barrel was a little old, and Spooning was taking place. bobinlondon (215), Harrow, Greater London, England Jun 18, 2008 Updated: Jul 11, 2008Handpulled at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Looked good, Orange/brown with fair white head. Not much aroma but nothing wrong, then the taste.....?????? Strange to say the least. A combination of plastic and cheddar cheese! Very little hop characture. Quite distinctive but really not very nice. 1.6 RERATE! 11/7/08 JDW Stanmore. Tried this beer again. Totally different taste this time. Much better. DruncanVeasey (1533), Burbage, Croatia May 4, 2008 Updated: May 8, 2008The Buck and Bell, Long Itchington ’08. Brown amber draped with lace. Dank mouldering leaves, beansprout, caramel, oaty/woody malt, firm hop bitterness, nutty caramel in the nose and mouth. Peanut, more leaves, wet dog. Not really selling it, but a tasty sessions, and BOTFSF.... sm89walt (168), Norwich and Canterbury, Norfolk, England May 3, 2008 Cask - Glasshouse ’Spoons, Norwich. A clear, dark amber with a thin and bubbly off-white head. Sweet yet dusty caramel aromas. Similar flavour profile with a light hoppy finish. Soft mouthfeel, easy on the palate. Would make a decent session bitter.
