A dry, crisp, amber, perfectly balanced beer with a mild hoppy finish.

500ml bottle conditioned: BBE of Aug 15. Poured carefully into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on the afternoon of 28th Jul 15. Nice looking beer, reddy brown, chestnut like the label claims in fact, the head a large billowing off-white foam blanket, no sediment left the bottle, so the body was clear and clean. Malty lead in both the aroma and taste, but only just, the hop content leaps into the latter stages of the flavour giving a good, bitter finish to this pleasant blend. The nose becomes more hop centric as the beer warms with a woody, piny aroma coming through the maltiness. Good body feel to the brew also: a new brewery to me, happy I found it.

A very average bitter. Tastes very fresh, but nothing special. Lacks a clear flavour.

Cask@waggonandhorses, oldbury. Dark amber, medium head and good lacing. Aroma of malts. Taste is malts, dry hops and a touch smokey. A decent beer.

Pours with a nice dark amber colour without much of a head. Pleasant traditional bitter flavour which is eminently drinkable, but not earth shattering. Would happily drink all evening.

Cask @ Willow Walk, JDW, Victoria SW1. Pours a pale copper color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty and slighlty metallic aroma. Fruity malty nutty caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity caramel nutty hoppy finish.

Light brown amber...thin white dense head.
Aroma.....light...caramel malt.
Taste of fruity malt, caramel, berries, some bitter spicy hops, bit of toffee. Has a reasonably good flavour.
Palate...soft carb...smooth...Finish fruity malt with some bitterness, light roast.
Overall...Pleasant drinkable beer, not exciting, but just a traditional bitter that is somewhat better than the average bog standard bitter.
