Unusual mild made with oats, rye and dark malts, flavoured with English Bramling Cross hops.

August, 2014 JDW, Rochester. Roasty. Coffee powder. Just a tad too bitter for my taste. Lingering long into the finish. But a drinkable dark beer with high impact flavour.

From backlog. Cask. Pours clear, dark red with cream coloured firm head. aroma is biscuity malts, hops, earth and dough. malty taste.slightly cloying. yeasty finish.

Cask gravity at the Watford Beer Festival 2014. Poured a dark ruby, with a rocky beige head. Aroma of roast malt, berries and earth. Blackberry flavours, with some molasses and rye. Finish was grain, bitter burnt malt and hay.

Cask at the King and Castle, Tourist Town, 19/11/14. Rich chestnut brown with a decent light tan covering, semi impressive lacing ensues. Nose is tobacco, twig, light cocoa, raisens. Taste comprises earthy tones, biscuit, toffee, faint char, touch of dark fruit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light dryness to close. Ok mild.

Cask. Clear dark chestnut brown with a medium sized good lacing tan head. Has some candy/bubblegum to it before dark malts take over with notes of cocoa, wood, forest, rye bread. Medium body, soft carbonation and pretty soft all around. Light dry malty finish. Pleasant.

500ml bottle from Favourite Beer, Cheltenham. Deep amber colour, with thick off white head. Aroma is roasted malts, and fruits. The flavour is roasty and fruity with caramel.

Cask @ Camperdown glasgow mid brown with beige head aroma is sweet grain and bit of hop taste is sweet with a bit of bitter little finish ok but wont be trying it again

Cask@the imperial, walsall. Brown beer with small head and decent lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and a little chocolate. Taste is roastec malts, some dark fruit, a hint of chocolate and a sprinkle of ash. Slight fizz on the palate. Good stuff.
