Cask at the Earl of Beaconsfield, Cambridge. Dark brown and ever so slightly translucent with a wispy tan head. Liquorice and coal scent with a bit of orange peel to keep things interesting. Sweet, almost citrussy, turning to a sour/bitter finish. Velvety smooth palette. Very nice.

August, 2014 JDW, Rochester. Roasty. Coffee powder. Just a tad too bitter for my taste. Lingering long into the finish. But a drinkable dark beer with high impact flavour.
