50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and mild spiced to a wheaty background. Citric, spiced and wheaty. Subdued estery - rather phenolic. Ends dry and citric.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of wheat, coriander, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wheat, straw, and dusty hops, leading to a dry dusty finish.

Keg at the Jolly Anglers, Reading. Pours an attractive, natural looking, cloudy pale straw with a voluminous dense white head; the texture is creamy, light and refreshing with flavours of wheat and coriander; the finish is clean and fresh with just a hint of banana. An excellent, light, clean, refreshing, modern, example of the style.

500ml bottle. Good, fragrant yeasty nose with plenty of crusty bread to it. However it has a slightly off-flavoured flavour if you get me. The carbonaton is tight and mild and the finish is sweet and long.

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon consumed 04-01-10 Pours cloudy warm gold/orange, white head rapidly departed. Aroma is citric with cereal. Taste is quite soft cereal, wheaty and with a little weakend lemon squash. As mentioned many a time before I’m not a big fan of wheat beers but this isn’t bad at all A6 A3 F7 P4 Ov13 3.3

500ml bottle from Utobeer. Very hazy gold colour with very thin head. Earthy aroma. Not much of a wheat beer to be honest. Some cereal on the finish. Its no german hefeweisse. The rest of it is alright though. Some nice lemon and a bit of sting on the finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottled courtesy of Rick at The Woolpack. Clouded cream with slight head. Low imact wheat beer, you have to strain to fetch the flavours, they are there with a banana esther and cinnamon spice but all very much in the background. Interesting that Cotswold have gone into bottling, they should become a little more widespread.

Doppelganger (1383) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - JUN 5, 2007
Tap, The Jam Factory, Oxford. Hazy leather/copper, persistent white cap of head. Fresh mint hop aroma, very light clove, a bit of bread. Warm and spritzy on the tongue, a nice cinnamon toasty finish. A surprisingly robust hop backbone. This is a beer drinkers wheat, not a training-wheels wheat. Nicely done.
