Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Dark gold in colour with a white head; earthy, fruity aroma; richly roasted malt flavour with touches of chocolate and fruit; and a lightly bitter finish. Pleasant and drinkable.

absolutely rancid. the last cottage beer I have and will drink. typical for the brewery, yet another brown, malty, earthy beer. Hop undetectable, needed another beer to wash it down. No discernable fruity aroma or flavour, just wet soil aroma and flavour of <insert deity here> knows what

[677-20070924] Cask @ Royal Oak (Bath, SM). Grainy dough aroma has faint malty notes. Clear, dark brown amber body with a small long-lasting foamy white head. Flavour has hints of chocolate but is mostly malty grain. Medium body is very smooth. Very nice, very drinkable.

Cask at the Woolpack, Banbury, 14-10-07 Plenty of creamy chocolate tastes were my first pick ups from this beer, there was plenty of depth and also good level of fruitiness showing as well. This beer poured dark amber with a good malty aroma.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2006 March, 2004 <a href=http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/12/122 of Steam, Euston. Autumn dark. Autumn malts. Sweetish. Licorice. Nice. Musty, oaky aroma. Vanishing finish, but with a touch of green pepper at the start of the finish. [3.3]
April, 2006Rising Sun, Kemsing. Sweet ale with juicy and nutty crystal malt and a mild earthy bite in the finish. Nicely done. Our favourite of the night, and the one we returned to at the end. [3.6]

Cask Conditioned, at the Head of Steam, London.
Deep amber colour, rich perfumed malt and elderflower aroma. Nice beige head. Cottage are beginning to impress me more and more. The last few beers of theirs that I’ve had have been very good and the pick of the selection.
