Cask, gravity dispense, at the Bree Louise, London. Chestnut colour, no head, minimal carbonation. Nice aroma of caramel and butterscotch. Flavour of toffee, caramel and butterscotch, but the beer is not very sweet. Hints of malt vinegar, without being sour.

Gravity cask at The Bree Louise. Pours rich, brown-gold with no head. Sugary malt nose, notes of caramel, ripe fruits, golden raisins. Medium sweet flavor, hints of cling wrap, slightly watery, faint grape, mild earthy bitters. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Slight plastic notes in the finish, dry, some leaves, a bit more ripe fruits, modest sweetness. Not all it could be.

Cask at the Cat’s Back, Wandsworth, 23rd Feb 2011. Deep ruby brown. Very malty, slightly burned caramelised sugar. Nose similar. Bitter citrus aftertaste. Decent weight.
