Cask at The Maltings, York. Pours a clear deep orange with an average size diminishing white head. Mild, easy-drinking flavour of light fruit, malt and faint hops with short bitter finish. A decent Bitter.

Cask conditioned @ Sirloin of Beef, Portsmouth. Toffee and nuttiness with some cottage earthiness. One of their malty efforts which arent some of my favourites.

imdownthepub (7473) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2007
Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Dark brown with white head. There is a weird taste to this one, akin to fermented vegetable mass, somewhat stewed. There is a malty, oaty flavour initially, but then this pungent type flavour takes over. Not good.
