2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 prawlie (565) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2011
Half pint at the Crispin in Wokingham. No head, apple juice coloured. Tastes of cereals and bitter hops. Has a bit of a tang but its not bad. Lightly hopped, fruity aroma. Its alright, but won’t leave me with a lasting memory of it.

Cask, gravity dispensed, from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. An orangey amber in colour with a ring of translucent head; aroma of fruity malts; tart fruit flavours - almost like a cider - with an oily malt body; and a slightly sour finish.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 wheresthepath (1087) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2010
[Cask at the Oakford Social Club, Reading] Amber with a moderate creamy head. Initially minty and rather bitter. Some herb and citrus comes through. Growing fruitiness conflicts oddly with the mint. Rather dull, and the flavours don’t really work - I think this brewer needs to concentrate on getting their core brands such as this right in preference to continuing to churn out an endless series of "specials" with "amusing" names.

From the cask, pours classic golden. Nice nose, of mainly malt, with slight honey & slight floral notes. Palate is fine & rounded, flavours of soft malt & biscuit, then a nice mildly bitter finish. A very pleasant mid-strength golden ale.

The Old Windmill, Coventry. Heady, woodsy, almost Belgian-like snout of lime jelly, orange rind, marmalade. Cloudy orange with a thick sparkler head. Slick golden milky hoppage. Earthy, soft, pithy and resinous with biscuity malt rounding it all out. Good one.
