Cask Conditioned Handpump Lamplighter Northampton. A hazy golden beer with a white head and prolific lacing. A biscuity beer with although drinkable has little character. Mostly malty with very little if any hop note at all.

Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Straw coloured with a short head. Lovely citrus and floral scent. Quite carbonated, some dryness. In the mouth, malts predominate. Roast biscuits with a hint of lemon on the end.

Cloudy yellow beer (no, I didn’t say piss?), on cask at the Carpenter’s Arms, London. Bitter og golden ale, I’m not sure about the classification. Soft malts and a little sour edge. Possibly not in top form, but I doubt that this would have been outstanding anyway. Some soft fruit - over-ripe apples.
