Cask conditioned handpump Bold Dragoon Northampton. A nut brown coloured beer with a whitish head. A malty fruity brown bitter. Crunchy cereal notes with chocolate in the nose. The same in the mouth with late bitterness. It’s not bad as malty bitters go.

Dark, malty with a bitter finish, much more like a mild in style than a bitter, not bad

Cask at Kings Head, Monmouth. Deep amber pour with a very tight white head, lots of haziness. Softly malty. A nice fresh sweet maltiness. Some soft toffee and a bit of light earthy hoppiness. Quite leafy as it warms up. Herbal and slightly dank. It’s moderately sweet and malty.
