Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Chestnut colour with white head. A sweet, malty, fruity bitter, quite autumnal in character, with a forest fruits type flavour. Quite a thick mouthfeel, but short on the finish.

Mahogany colour with a creamy white head. Rich winter fruit, malt aroma. Rich fruit malt flavour. Strong tasting beer of malt and burnt toast.

Rusty orange, no head. Pleasnat, light hoppy aroma, some citrus - orange. Full malty, bitter taste, some nuttiness. A little citrus zing too.

Cask (handpump) at Babington Arms (JDW) Derby. Gob-smackingly lovely. Beatiful deep brown with a ruddy tinge, creamy head, chewy fruits in there, tingly feel to the finish. A well-appointed bitter.

A nice bitter. Aroma and flavour are a bit charred. Raisins aswell at the start, but its not sweet, dry citric spicy hops in the finish, quite a bitter finish.

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms,
Dark burgundy colour, very rustic looking, static but persistent white head, with a slight reddish tinge. It had an almost smoked aroma to go with its looks. Strong bitter but flavoured with cinnamon or spice. It certainly had the strength to compete at the end of the night. 6of7.
