Another beer in the breweries ’Whippet Series’: hand pulled pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates, Dec 2011.
Deep amber body with a full bubbley head of off-white or biege colour.
Malty with some cocoa somewhere in the nose, very little hop smells to be found.
Mixed bag of flavours, malty caramel combind with some citrusy hop bitterness, nice blend.
Easy to drink, I quaffed mine very quickly, the wife giving me the usual ’evil eye’ when I do such an awful thing when in company!

Cask at The Woolpack, Banbury, 30-12-07 in the company of Glen aka imdownthepub Dark amber, with medium white head, was there choclate on the nose or was the gentleman sat next to us eating his dessert? This was an alright beer but I reckon the chaps dessert was the better option. Soft caramel, malty and creamy, there was some milk chocolate in there I’m sure of it. Got better as you gave it a bit more time.

Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Dark amber with white head. Caramel, malty bitter with a strongish cereal note. Some hops in the mix but not well defined. An ok beer.

Small yellowish beige coarse head. Amber body. Light oatmeal straw aroma with cocoa and hop notes. Soft sweetish floral cocoa and straw taste. Dry mild roasty oatmeal aftertaste with resiny hoppy notes. Not great, but definitely pleasant. (0.5pt cask at the Charles Dickens, Southwark, London.)

Amber golden coloured with some hoppy and sour fruit aromas. Some dryness and bitterness in a malt flavoured finish.
2. Cask Handpump at the Bhurtpore Inn, Aston 27/12/2007
Malty aroma. Bronze golden coloured and smooth on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry full malt finish.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2005 Cask handpump at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Brown colour with a creamy white head, good lacing. Malty and caramel flavoured. Nice medium body. Very good.

Mid/Dark borwn in colour. Very Malty & full bodied flavour. A great Beer (best of the day)
