3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 500ml. Chestnut with white head. Sweetish, malty, fruity beer with a nose of alcohol. A touch tart in character but this adds to the beers character. Nicely rich in the finish, takes some drinking for the whole bottle though. Good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle. Dark brown colour. Small white head. Seemingly clear. Raisiny and plummy aroma with notes of paper and leather. Sweet alcoholic flavours that soon ends up with a papery sensation. Low carbonation level. Not as bad as it sounds -- far from it. This is definitely an old ale. Medium-body and not as sweet as I first had thought. Little hops to be found except a nice gentle lingering light minty hop bitterness. Dry finish. Nice old-ale, which is surprisingly drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%. Bottle conditioned. Mahogany coloured beer, large and lasting tan head which leaves a nice lacing. Excellent aroma with vinous notes, thereís oak, malts, rhum-raisins, treacle, some perfume too. The mouthfeel is (relatively) thinner than what the aroma makes you expect. The flavour is oaky and spicy with notes of dark fruits and caramel, but not exceedingly sweet. Dry finish. Good beer - recommended!

KÝbenhavnske ōldage 07. Bottle. This is a beautiful, red mahogany beer with a sweetish aroma with notes of malt, caramel and dark fruits. The flavour is sweetish, malty with notes of dark fruits, a bit of coffee and chocolate (leading my thought towards a stout) and a light, dry bitterness. Itís truly nice!! 2155
