Gravity at the Tom Cobbley Tavern, Spreyton, Devon. Cloudy dark brown with no head. Scent of hops and some sugar. A bit watery but well balanced. In the mouth there is lots of toffee malt and also some sugars. Not much to it.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A mahogony coloured beer with hints of ruby. The aroma is malty with some fruit and coffee. The taste is the same with some wood also and that coffee returns. A little short, but pretty good.

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Dark brown, bit of sour liquorice on aroma. Not my kind of beer at all. Bit of diacetyl maybe too. Some roasty malt. Not my kinda beer, sorry.
