Super grainy aroma - pure barley. Taste ditto - even more so. Finish a nicely strawey/hayey bitter. Deliciously smooth - lipsmackingly good to have in your mouth. So super sessionable I’m sure.
Rerate: same cask, Sat: Thinner than yesterday, but still a good dark bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Staple Hill Oak (JDW), Bristol 1/1/10. Amber coloured with an off-white head. Sweet aroma of toffee and weetabix. Flavour was also sweet, with cereal maltss, caramel and a hint of eartiness, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Brown. Fruity toffee with earthy hops. Much like several of cottages other efforts but fairly well done if a bit sweet for me to want much.

Cask Handpump at The Lamb and Flag, St Giles, Oxford 21-01-08 Copper coloured beer with a nice sweet malty nose. The taste is more of the same with toffee sweetness some vanilla and a nice bitterness and length to this beer. Overall a bit limited but still an enjoyable beer.
