Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chocolate, moderate to light heavy toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090803]

Cask@The Knights Templar. Deep ambery brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, syrup and some wooden notes. Flavour is caramel malts, slight nuts, oak and mild syrupy notes. Quite pleasant.

Cask conditioned at The Cape of Good Hope, Warwick. Gold with white head. Light and flowery with a dry bitter edge, drank well sitting out by the canal on a beautiful evening. Hoppy, bittersweet finish. Decent enough.
