Ok standard bitter style beer, not bad for a session but uninspiring, found it a bit cloying on the palate too

14th July 2010. Market Porter. Clear brown beer. Short lived cream head. Llight dry palate. Fresh dry creamy malt. Some repressed fresh hop - a little tangy orange. Finishes creamy, dry and orangey. Not bad at all - just a bit too dry.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Chestnut with a ring of white head; sour aroma with apples, plums and malt to the fore; thinly bodied, with a sour apple flavour to start then developing a malty sweetness; and a dry finish.
