Cask, Hillsborough Hotel. Sheffield. This had to be tried on an FA Cup Weekend, but was very disappointed. Appearance was dark orange and decent enough. Bland, insipid and unmemorable flavour.
Nothing noteworthy about this. Avoid.

Cask Conditioned at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott, Oxon. Orange amber colour with thin head. Mid roast malt with an overlaid, ever so slightly harsh, hoppiness. The aromas are a bit farmy rustic but the beer is well served with delicate flavours. A decent beer.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Spiesy (2336) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - FEB 20, 2004
Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London. Bright orange colour, radio active looking, with very little head. There’s not much aroma to speak of and I had to close my eye and concentrate to find ever so soft violet flavour in the middle of the flavour. The beginning and the end, where mysteries to me, nothing there at all. There was nothing bad tasting/smelling/feeling about this beer, just very little of everything.

Theobalds. Essex. Medium amber colour. Mmm. Wonderfully fruity with some very tasty fragrant hops. This was fresh on and wow! it certainly does taste fresh - delivering quality throughout. An absolute stunner!
