Cask conditioned handpump Bold Dragoon Northampton. Dark golden rather than pale gold as the comm description suggests. A whitish head and lacing. A plain English bitter. Hints of sweetness and lemony hops in the mouth but it’s a bit watery. The nose is scant and inoffensive. Slips down with no questions asked.

Copper colour with a thin white head. Fruit, slight hop aroma. Smooth texture with a bitter citrus hop. Quite sweet but very pleasant ale.
