Cask at the King’s Head, Monmouth. Pale golden pour with a bit of earthiness on the back. A very light sweet malt character along with some light herbal hoppiness. Leafy and a little bit of soft sweetness. A fairly simple bitter, but decent.

15th August 2008. Very slightly hazy gold beer. Crisp and refreshing with a slightly dry finish. Nothing out of the odinary but went down just fine.

Cask, half pint served at ambient temperature at Bree Louise, Euston. Ring of white bubbles on top of a straight amber coloured body. Light citric smell of hops. Sweet apricot to the taste, and only a few notes of bitterness to the finish. Medium palate (10.08.2008).
