SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JUL 16, 2009
The Good Intent, Rochester. Mad night - the Morris Dancers were practising hitting each other with staves in the back room, while the front room was pounding with Cher on the juke box. I was introduced to three new drinking buddies, one of whom was so keen to impress he was bouncing off the walls with enthusiasm, while another was feeding the juke box with more Cher songs. Meanwhile the beer was fairly crap - greasy nonsense with a hint of flowery citric, but nothing obvious. A nothing sort of beer. You cannot be serious!

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 26/06/09. Deep amber with a slight yet tight white head. Fruity malts, a bit yeasty, some bitterness in the finish. Dull.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Amber with a thin off-white head; aroma of orange and malt; matching flavour with orange and chewy malts and a well-balanced bitterness. Very moreish.

maeib (6634) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2008
Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A light amber coloured beer with a whitish head. A berry fizz nose. More fruit in the taste with sweetness yet a hint of acidity. Some maltiness. Perhaps not quite right?

A Mes rate: Cask at Fringe.
Pale amber with a thin white head. Malt and tea in an aroma that is bland and not great. The flavour is an odd combination of lemon and malt that doesn’t work too well. Sweet malty finish with a bitterness that seems to come out of no where and have very little to do with hops. Erm.. yeah... Next?

duff (5483) - St, Margarets, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2004
Cask@The Head of Steam, Euston. Funny name, McEnroe would be proud. Stale flavour however, some raisin toast and stale hops, not very interesting, McEnroe wouldn’t be so proud of the beer.

Cask Conditoned, White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks. Gravity dispense (poured by me). This beer failed to clear so we had to additonal finings, rating is for beer pre-fining additon. Citric, acidic and unbalanced. Not very good!

Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2004
Cask-conditioned @ JDW, Soton. Copper coloured, tennis pumpclip-whippet smashing racquet. Lime, apricot and malt aromas. Thin with bitter finish. Unexciting.
