webjedi (247), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA May 18, 2008 On tap at Charlotte Airport (2007). Nothing special, a little hop on the mouth, less so on the nose. Nice color though. Out of the four tried that evening it was the best of them, and also came highly recommended (which isn’t much noting it was at the airport)
lithy (149), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 5, 2008 Clear copper color with a frothy just off white head that flattens quickly. Aroma of vegetal hops but a slight metallic cereal and caramel malt aroma. Taste is sharp hop bite behind a nice pleasant malt body. Drying hop bitterness lingers nicely. Guinness4Duff (464), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Aug 26, 2008 On tap at the Carolina Beer Company in the Charlotte airport. Cloudy copper colored pour with a nice head. Nice dry hop aroma, flavor is spot on. Nice dry bitter flavor and a nice malt base. This is a textbook IPA, very good. doubleo (761), San Diego, California, USA Aug 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a medium size, creamy white head. Smells slightly caramelly malty with a nice, grassy and astringent hop scent as well. Tastes slightly malty sweet up front with earthy and slightly bitter, citrus hops through the middle. More sweet malt flavor on the finish, Medium body, good carbonation. KAggie97 (1886), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottel from Suttree. Thanks! Pours a thick amber with a tall white head. Aroma is malty biscuit with a slight orange undertone. Flavor is sour hops and grapefruit-soaked biscuit. Average mouthfeel. A little too malty for an IPA, but still not bad. Beershine (1214), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2008 Draught, Charlotte airport. Hazed amber color. Hoppy but balanced nose. Low carbonation, thin body. Flavors become grainy, and the hops vanish too quickly, leaving it metallic, sweet, and boring.
