Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 16, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Amber coloured with a decent, off-white head - some haze. Sweetish malt, a touch of caramel with a fine, moderate hoppy finish. Nice. But have to agree with lachesis - this is no sour ale. Peter Crombecq defined it as an "extra" - a not too strong ale that doesn’t fit into most other categorie. We should just label it "Belgian Ale" I believe. 081197 fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Nov 25, 2001 Red ale. Aroma not noticeable. At first impression it’s malty and sweet, then, slowly, the bitter palate takes its place. duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Nov 19, 2006 Bottle. Deep gold/amber. Aroma is sugary. palate shows some alcohomstraight away, with some sweet brown sugar and alcohol. Also a bit yeasty and medicanal as someone else here mentions. harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 15, 2006 Bottle at Cambrinus, Bruges. Cloudy dark copper, thin off white head. Orange peel/tangerine. I thought it was ok. fonefan (4468), Ulfborg, Denmark Dec 9, 2007 Bottle. Clear light amber color with a averaage, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head.
