Brown-bronze beer with golden highlights; fast gone white, irregulatr head. Quite spicy nose, coriander to the fore, and initially some other, fresh-smelling herb. Certainly NOT camphor! Coriander, sweet caramel on toast. Oh, and coriander, next to gingerbread spices. Sweet. And coriander... Light-ish MF, quite slick, even a bit sticky after some time. Overcoriandered. Generally much more spicy than I remember from long ago. Difficult to find, too.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2012 250ml bottle, Strijderhuis, Brugge, 14/02/12. Fizzing copper-brown under a slender cream lid. Aroma of berries and sesame. Fine praline and sesame nuttiness, hazelnut, nice roasted and lactic softness with a balancing bitterness. Cherry Bakewell waking up with the bits in. Didn’t pick up the lime, vanilla or ivy, but then they’re not your everyday spices. Pretty subtle, considering.

(bottle, 25cl) Hazy, amber colour with a big and dense slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet malty and moderately fruity aroma with notes of citrus/lemon and honey, accompanied by spicy and almost a bit ethereally notes. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Cara-malty base with notes of citrus, honey, coriander and a tinge of flowery hops. Likeable. 04.X.11

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2011 Bottle at Cafe/Restaurant De Vlasschard, Stene, Nr Ostend, Belgium 23.09.11 Pours amber, intensely floral straight away. Honeysuckle and perfume on the nose and in the mouth, in fact loads of honey in the mouth. Nice beer but quite in yer’ face on the floral front. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

250ml bottle (Cambrinus, Bruges)
6 Slightly alcoholic, some floor-cleaner citrus and pine. Add all the yeast to soften it and make it way more fleshy-fruity.
4 Fairly bright orange, ring head
6 Not alcoholic, but also not rich. The sharpish citrus and other components from the aroma remain. Add the yeast to bring out fuller retronasals, including some apples.
3 Thin when poured clear, but when yeast is added it fills out nicely.
12 If you’ve not gathered this yet, this has to have all the yeast poured in to make it good, but it’s certainly tasty after that.
