Black Gold Porter on tap at Country Boy. Opaque black with large light tan head. Feel: medium-full body with medium + carbonation. A bit too lively. Higher ABV is well hidden. Mild aroma of dark roasted malts and chocolate. Good, but not outstanding. mildly sweet up front; mildly bitter by the lightly smokey finish

32oz growler from the brewery, shared with friends towards the end of a long day of drinking last weekend. Enjoyed about 24 hours after the growler was filled. Dark brown red color, but still clear. Nice thin tan head. Spread of splotchy lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Bigger body, for sure. Good bitter sweet taste. Lightly sweet hint of the alcohol, but reasonable for the ABV. Nice dark chocolate, some roasty malt. Light bit of brown sugar. Little coffee. Great imperial porter. A dark, rich, sexy porter.
