3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap: Deep, rich mahogany color with a frisky beige color that lasts for the entirety of the brew. Aroma is jalapeño all the way; seriously, it’s like sniffing a real jalapeño pepper. Hint of smoke, peated malt, & roast underneath the peppery goodness. Flavor of smoked jalapeños with a big-time charred, ashy skin aspect. Hand of roasted malt hold the pepper profile upwards with a light woodsy & peaty essence flowing in towards the finish with only the lightest kiss of subtle sweetness. Lingering pepper heat in the throat, growing with each sip. I wish the "smoked" aspect of the beer was equally as prominent as the pepper, but this one was nice.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thin fading head. The taste is very balanced malty with a slight jalapeno bite. Aroma is very light on the pepper side but it is present. Smokiness works very well with the jalapeno.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft sample. Pours a clear dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have nice smoked malts, spicy peppers, ash, dark chocolate, earthy bitterness, decent body and mouthfeel. The ashy smoke lingers through the finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
on draft and pours a darkish brown with off white head. the aroma is smoke. I like smoke. get some roasted malts and smoke. the flavor is more of the same and I was wondering where the jalapeno is until is burped and there it was...not much in the initial flavor but on the back end you get a little bit of the pepper burn. as for a smoke beer its decent and pretty middle of the road. but nothing else.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft in a sampler at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a cloudy brown with amber edges and a small beige head. Aroma of smoked malts, jalapeño and chipotle peppers, toast, leather, and tobacco. Flavor of the same malts and peppers and tobacco. Man, the peppers are subtle and so is the smoke. So well-balanced. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Drinks like a liquid version of your grandpa’s jacket he wore to the bar when he got home from the war. Fucking manly.
