Draft sample at IBGWF 2013. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced rye aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. The beer is a good drinkable brew.

Draft @ CB, (Chinook Lazy Rye version). Clear golden amber with a thick white head. Big aroma of pine, floral, rye bread dough and cut grass. Flavor is bitter hops, spicy rye and some light fruity yeast esters. Medium body with a slightly thick mouth feel. Really nice rye IPA, lots of fresh hops and the rye adds a nice touch.

Draft courtesy of ContemplateBeer, thank you sir! Clear golden color, small white head. Aroma of lightly spiced rye bread. Taste is similar. Nice stuff.

Draught. Pours a nice amber color with a moderate head. Lots of rye and graininess to the taste of this. Not a bad drink, but OK.

Enjoyed on-tap @ Country Boy Brewing in Lexington, KY for $4. Tapped from a Creative Wooden Carved Tap Handle (they all are like this here) into a 16oz Pint Glass. Aroma- Big hops, rye, and bit of grass all hit the nose at once. Rye was surprisingly the lightest character. Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that has average retention. Has a clear, golden colored body. Left a few suds behind. Flavor- Light spiciness and hops begin this taste. Has a good amount of rye in here and then pushes toward a big hop finish. Medium-High Bitterness. Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Bites with rye and then has a sweeter finish. Overall Impression- A good overall Rye beer that was all over the place! Didn’t mind but rather enjoyed trying to pick out all of the different characteristics.

Draught at brewery. Wow. Big change from Lazy Rye. Strong powerful aroma of citra hops. Lemon and citrus. Taste changes completely. Big hop bomb. Very nice.

Draught at brewery. Orange body Bitter. Slightly hoppy. A very nice beer that could easily be their standard and money maker.

Some rye, caramel and citrus in the nose. Appearance is caramel gold with bone head. Flavor matches the nose, and the palate is very bubbly. Good.
