3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at brewpub
A nice sounding beer in principle, this somehow does not quite deliver on its promises. A balanced release generally works out. However a few wrinkles and lack of depth put this squarely in the "could be better" camp.
Aroma / Appearance - Cloudy lemon bubbles float in the glass. A minimal head is fast falling. Fresh peaches, hay, and earthiness smell like a blooming fruit orchard. The combination is nice except that it is more of a fruit bomb than what I like in a saison.
Flavor / Palate - Lemons and peach rinse the palate clean. Fresh hay combined with iced tea spiked by a couple of local peaches are light yet spicy. The total package generally is successful. Even so I found myself losing interest after about a half pint. With other better options this was one not to revisit.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at brewery. Very much peach in flavor. Wheat base maybe for the saison. Hazy and a bit yeasty. Refreshing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with very little head. Aroma of light peach, light fruits, spices, clove. Flavor of sour fruits up front with lots of spices, clove, bready malt, anise star. A spicy saison with faint, sour fruit presence. Not super fruity or sweet at all. Light and drinkable.
