3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very solid brown ale with a powerful vanilla bean palate. I’ve always been a fan of vanilla notes (especially since I’m a bourbon guy), so this beer appealed to me. Great taste. Lack of thick head and lacing on draft. Overall pretty good beer!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub in Lexington.
Small, weak and sticky off-white head over a dark red-orange-brown body.
Smells great, with penty of vanilla mixing with toasted malts. Smells very sweet; candy sweet, so its a relief it is not as sweet as suggested. Still, a bit too sweet for general consumption, but a good option as a dessert beer.
Low carbonation and near medium body; perhaps a bit under-carbonated.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taster on tap at Party Town. Clear brown color. Thin off-white greyish head. Loose bits of lace. Mmm... Awesome nose. Great dark chocolate, light roast, light spice, and hazelnut in the nose. Medium-plus body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Nice bigger bitter taste, minimal sweet. Wow, only 4.8? I would have guess 7% based off the bigger flavor and body. Impressive, hoppy brown.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample at CBB. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and vanilla aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex brew.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of slightly sweet, slightly dusty chocolate with vanilla. Appearance is ruby red with bone head. Flavor matches the nose; but with a touch of toast. Palate is medium, creamy and very soft. Would’ve guessed this a porter, but still quite good.
