bottle pours mid brown with white head that laces well . aroma is malt , a touch of smokiness and fruity . taste is light malt , some fig and hoppy bitterness . a little thin on the mouthfeel but overall quite refreshing and not bad for a light beer .

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A dark brown coloured beer with a whitish head and lots of lace. Chocolate notes in the malty nose. Plentiful brown fruits in the mouth together with more chocolate. Pretty good.

Bottle. Hazy brown with a small head. weetabix alts with tea. Bitter with some metal notes. Flavours are malty, fruity and dry with some chocolate. A bit stale with a bit of a home brew kit beer about it. Bitter on the finish. Maybe a tainted bottle.
