From the polypin at the Orchard, Bristol 25/10/09. Clear gold in colour with no carbonation. Plnety of apple juice evident, with a hint of honey and dryish finish. Very easy drinking for a dry cider. Good.

A Sim rate (gravity at Merton Beer Fest): Sweet apple aroma with a nice vanilla. Pear and peach. Real tang in the finish with some aniseed and pear again. Bit thin in the palate but overall very nice.

Litre bottle, filled by brewer from the barrel (n.b. not a cask). A golden colour, completely clear (must have been filtered). Sour apple aroma. Taste is slightly sour apple with perhaps a touch of cinnamon in the finish. Fairly dry. No carbonation. Perfectly drinkable, but I suspect the filtration took a fair bit away from the finished product.

Bottle. Lot No. CJ0870. Golden colour with no visible carbonation. Apple aroma. Drinkable stuff, juicy apple flavour, quite dry. Not bad.

Straw colour. Very clear - I suspect filtration. Quite mellow and not that dry. Not bad, but at easy drinking end of the traditional cider spectrum. From the barrel at GBBF 2004.
