Again, let me begin by singing the praises of CaptainFlurries, my neighbor to the north, for giving me chance to review this gem. Aroma was of stout, aged apples. Pour was a little darker than expected. Minimal bubbles. Flavor was somewha complex in that I could clearly tast late season apples as well as what I interpretted to be a hint of vanilla. Not overly seet, and had a crisp finish.

4oz sample at Bon Appetit Ottawa. Seems like there may be some confusion between the county and regular version but I tried both and decided to rate the county one (larger plastic bottle) as it was much better - not very sweet, lots of apple, clear yellow and would be great on a hot day. There was a nice tartness, moderate carbonation and decent body, nice apple finish and very fresh.

On draft at the Blackshre Pub in London ON I always have a hard time rating ciders. Very very pale yellow with almost no head. It smells like apple, as expected. Wow this has a bite. Tart and sour. It feels a bit like it’s sucking all the liquid out of my mouth. A little too tart for my tastes. I expected something more refreshing.

Slight sour smell with a sugar light acid touch. Medium gold with a fast disappearing head. Medium thin body. Sweet light start with an tart apple and citrus. Refreshing and very nice.

12oz Bottle, poured at CiderDays 2011. I hate to say, but this is like Canadian Magners, both in sweetness and quality. There’s a rough, biting edge to it that taste artificial. Not worth seeking out.

Originally rated April 2007. This cider has a decent head, that is bigger than for most cider. Obviously, it does not last long and no lacing is left. Good active carbonation and colour is pale yellow. The nose reminds me of another popular cider, very identical. It might be Strongbow. Very refreshing mouthfeel, watery with a bit of a grab. Slight sourness in the taste, but overall, quite well balanced with a little dryness and not syrupy. Mild sweetness too and the simple apple flavour. Very nice light tasting cider with a nice 6.4% ABV.

341 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear, dull pale yellow with no head. Aroma is green apple with almost some white wine character. Taste is crisp green apple, again almost feeling like a white wine at times. Very dry, moderately tart finish. Doesn’t really stand out for me.

Pale yellow in colour. Aroma is fruit and alcohol. Taste is a nice balance of crisp carbonation, fruit flavours and a slightly bitter finish. Very sweet cider. Enjoyed.

On tap at C’est What?. Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Loads of small carbonation. Light apple, a bit of champagne yeast, hint of vanilla, dry. Crisp, light apple, but nothing overpowering or wowing. Dry crisp tart finish with a little ascorbic acid.
