This was a bitter that I quite enjoyed. Since I’m not a huge fan of bitters that may not be a great indorsment. Had a slightly bitter taste but a rather clean finish.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2006 500 mL can: So hard to find an amazing bitter in these parts from the the can, and has now been delisted?! Come on!! Everything you want: fruity, malty, nutty, etc. Great lingering tasty hoppy finish but not bitter. So nice. Excellent with spicy food.

Gorgeous colour. Rosy amber with a patchy white head. Aromas of toffee, turkish delight, fruit bread and flavours (and plenty of them) of the same, rosehip and bakewell tart. Lovely full body and plenty of carbonation, lingering bitterness and well, just exactly what I like.

Fantastic fruitty nose with strong hints of elder flower. The same hints in the taste and therefore very refreshing. A bit flat and a slightly dispointing finish though. I had this from a fresh broken cask. Only my second time trying a cask beer. And I have to say it’s been fantastic both times.
