Bottle. Brewed May, 2011. Best before 9/19/24. Consumed 4/7/13. Pours an opaque brown-black with an oily, thick, light brown head. Aroma is big and wow; dark fruit, chocolate, caramel, molasses, licorice, booze. Taste is rich and wonderful; dark fruits, booze, vanilla, chocolate, caramel; bitter chocolate and coffee finish. Some nice lacing. Medium-low carbonation; appropriate. Full-bodied; thick, creamy, syrupy. Expertly balanced. Highly indulgent. Exquisitely crafted. Excellent.

Nog är det bra shit. Men kan inte förneka att alkoholen tar över en aning. Blivit lite sötare möjligen sedan sist. Knäck en per år och se vart den tar vägen. Mm så får det bli

0.275 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Black color, virtually no head. Thick roasty aroma with coffee, raisins and charred bread. Sweet roasty and vinous flavor with coffee, salty licorice, charcoal, raisins and port wine. Full body, feels sparkling in the mouth although does not look like sparkling.

Natai (86) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Pours a deep dark brown, nearly black, with a respectable light brown creamy head and light lacing. Enticing aromas of roasted coffee and dark fruit with hints of dark chocolate in the finish. Smooth, creamy palate with gentle carbonation. A fine stout.

VALIS (210) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Heavy malts and roastiness, sweet dark fruit. Has a bit of a black licorice sting, also due in part to the high ABV. A manly, robust stout... in a little baby bottle, alas.

Bottle pours brown-black with one finger tan head. Aroma licorice and cocoa. Taste matches aroma with some bitterness, roasted mats. Finish a surprisingly brief and mild bitterness Full creamy palate which coats the mouth well. Well done RIS..
