I think this is like the silliest, most predictable name for a Black IPA ever. But it’s not Ratebeernames.com is it?

Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a well retained medium head that leaves good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is pungent and hop forward with lots of piney-ness, some mineral character, and a little bit of anise.

The flavor follows a similar profile that the aroma does with more citrus forward hoppiness added. There is a little bit of the classic clash of roasty/hop bitterness that unfortunately is so common in this style. But the astringency is kept fairly minimal here. The beer has a light character of anise & woodiness but generally it’s dominated by fruit forward hops.
