COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Natural raspberry flavoring to give this ale a fine fruit flavor and aroma. Subtle and well balanced, Capital Raspberry is a pleasantly thirst-quenching hand-crafted ale.

Lightly hazed, muted yellow with a creamy cloud of a cover. Nice little berry aroma. Sweeter than I expected, more sugary than berried, but OK.

Faintly cloudy golden lacing creamy white head like most of their beers. Potent raspberry aroma and flavor, being medicinally sweet and tart in the mouth. Lacks any richness or clove character. Not too good I did not finish this sampler. Did have a nice creamy feel.

heemer77 (4792) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - DEC 27, 2006
On tap at the brewpub. The body was slightly hazy medium light bronze. The aroma was lots of raspberry with some light pears and cloves. The taste was subtle raspberries with some nice cloves. This was a good fruit wheat.

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy orange gold color without much head. Distinct raspberry aroma and flavor that was a bit too sweet and cloying.

On tap at the brewpub during the 2006 Crescent Moon Beer Bus Trip. Cloudy gold in color with a good lace. Strong raspberry extract aroma. Harsh medicinal burning palate. You can’t hide all of a beer’s problems with sugar.

Everyone at our table of legal age had this beer. The aroma of raspberries was there, but not overpowering. Appearance was nothing special, with no head by the time it got to our table. This could be a function of many things. The taste was consistently good from the start to the end. Not overdone with any syrupy level of raspberry, but just the presence. I could drink a couple without growing tired of the raspberry taste. Palate was a little thin, with not a lot of mouthfeel, but adequate to not detract from the enjoyment. The beer was of a dark golden color
