FoBAB 2008. Poured a clear amber color with an off white head. Plenty of barrel related smells including vanilla, bourbon, and butter. Light to medium bodied with mild bitterness. I tasted toffee, brown sugar, and light grassy hops with bourbon and vanilla accents. Nice.

Great flavor in this beer. An American red ale that delivers a great malt and hop flavor but finishes with a nice, almost vanilla, bourbon taste. (brewed in bourbon barrels).

Growler pour thanks to Merkin666. Pours clear, dark amber with a creamy, beige head that has decent retention. Aroma is caramel, citrus, caramel, toffee, oakey Bourbon, cookie dough a touch of pine and a nice amount of smooth vanilla. Flavor is caramel, mild citrus, Bourbon, woody oak, a touch of vanilla and a resinous hop finish. Light to medium bodied with a slightly syrupy feel and light, smooth carbonation. Fantastic for an amber ale.

2009 FoBAB. Another one that the non beer geeks like, perhaps cause it was lighter than the usual beers at the fest. Watery amber color with foamy head. Smells is shoft, bourbon, hops and malts. Light bodied mouthfeel, with a mild taste of roasty malts.
