Well hopped aroma with plenty of citrus hops. Sweet body, but not cloying with an excellent dry hoppy finish. GABF2007

On tap @ Court Avenue. Light burnt orange appearance with an off white head. Earthy hoppy nose. Slightly tangy, quite bitter, earthy flavor. Some grapefruit.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, orange-amber colored body with a thin, creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is a nice blend of hops and malts. Citrusy grapefruits with some soapy pines and florals with a nice, medium sweet caramel. Flavor is similar. Deeper, somewhat soapy pines with lots of citrus grapefruits and a good amount of florals. Some more medium sweet caramels offer a solid balance and give off a bit of a grainy flavor. Finishes dry with a nice, medium level piney and floral bitterness with just enough caramel sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a light to medium, clean body and light, soft carbonation. Overall, a solid brewpub ipa. Very easy drinking and nicely balanced with a pleasant hop profile. Not much to complain about here.

Pours a fully clouded orange with a very minimal head. Nose is perfumed and also with hop character. Flavor is very smooth and consistent with hops. There is a definite salty tone. Feel has a lot of bubble and a good liquid feel. Overall this is a good smooth IPA. Nothing showy at all, but more along a traditional line I would say

Pours a reddish orange (dare I say rust) color with a medium head and some good lace. The aroma has some melon and orange with some dank hoppiness, and for all that still seems a bit faint. The flavor has a good resiny quality with some melon, some orange rind and some generally fruity hops. The bitterness is very well balanced here. I think this brewery has made strides recently with this beer, I think the first few times I had it I would have rated it at a 3, but this is pretty darn tasty now.

On tap at the brewpub in Des Moines. It came poured with a light creamy white head that turned out some decent lacing, medium opacity, and amber orange in color. In the aroma (and pretty much for the taste as well), the malts and hops do not work fully well together, though each have their distinct aspects that are nice individually. However, as a result, the hop profile comes out with a bit of a soapy aspect to it. Notes here include melon fruits, citrus, florals, caramel, and light grainy malts. Overall, not the best, but not too bad.

TAP: bronze pour, huge pine/citrus hop nose, sharp (but unbalanced) hop taste, some grapefruit character. This one’s a little more malt away from being pretty darn good.

Nose full of piney hops and crisp citrusy floral (light). Pours a honey/gold with an off-white head. Notes of citrus, crisp hops and full-bodied malts on the edges. Delicious.

Nice grapefruit. Some pine. Nice hops. Quite bitter with enough malt sweetness to keep the balance where I like it for an IPA. Malts are a little dull.

Sweet floral cascade aroma. Quite hop forward and dry body. Lingers bitterly in the mouth. Fairly straightforward piney hop flavor. Decent.
