Cask at the brewpub. Body is deep copper garnet with a slight haze. A nice long lasting khaki head. The nose is liv ely with wood, pine and citrus. There is also a solid caramel backbone. The taste is fairly sweet at first but then in followed by a pine bite, especially in the finish. The finish is woody with even a little plastic. There is also some hints of tobacco. This needs a little more sweet malt balance.

Pours a copper color with a fiarly thick head that leaves a really good lace. The aroma is dominated by floral hops and some grapefruit. there is some nice orange and less descript citrus notes with some nice toasty malt. The flavor has some citrus rind and some bitter snappiness from the rye with a good earthiness. The beer has a lightly toasty chracter with some grapefruit and a nice moderate bitterness. Damned delicious.
