On draught during GTMW 2010 Festival in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark brown colored brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some excellent lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, vanilla, some banana esters, yeast and a hint of honey. Taste is full bodied, soft carbonation with complex flavors of chocolate, banana esters, a hint of butterscotch, some soy sauce and a touch of vanilla. Finish is semi-sweet, light chocolate aftertaste and a short lived bitterness. Of all the beers I’ve tried at Courthouse Pub, this one turned out to be a pleasant surprise and would like to see this one available more often.
