Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Apr 27, 2008 On draught at the brewery/brewpub in downtown Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Pours a clear, brownish copper brew with a fast dissolving white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white head and minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet, roasted caramel malt, a touch of toffee and some flowery hops character. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of dry caramel malt, white pepper, some roasted nuts and a touch of yeast. The taste is slightly drier than its aroma. Finish continues the slightly dry mat aftertaste with some mild bitterness that lingers after the finish. JPDIPSO (4189), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 3, 2008 Lightly hazed brown liquid with a modest off-white head. Toasted malt with a touch of whatever mild funk/yeast this place has. Not real bad, but enough to have a bit of astringency. Somewhat toasty and perhaps a bit nutty malt flavors. A bit grainy and that earthy funkiness.
