3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beerbuddha (100) - New Orleans, Louisiana, USA - JUL 1, 2010
Appearance: Beer was a golden straw color with a thin, white head. Lacing present throughout.
Smell: Nice crisp, clean aroma with a nice subtle hoppiness and sweet maltiness with hints of lemon zest.
Taste: Like the aroma it was a crisp, clean lager as it should be. Had a nice grassiness with just enough hops to balance out the sweet bready maltiness. Very easy beer to drink.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, clean with medium body.
Overall: An incredible local pilsner. Something that is very easy to drink during the oppressive Louisiana heat. I think this one will be a great seller here locally if marketed properly. It’s that good.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 coyforce (350) - Virginia, USA - JUN 27, 2010
Ok, but not great at all. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head. Taste is of hay and light hops.
1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 16, 2010
On tap at the avenue pub. Pale gold. Thin watery very much macro like except for an interesting german pils finish. Likely the best pilsner made in Covington. That’s got to count for something.
3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ronaldtheriot (811) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - MAY 9, 2010
Pontchartrain Pilsner has a very thin, white head and a relatively clear straw appearance. The aroma is faint to nonexistant. Carbonation is quite low. The taste is VERY bready, which I like, since I love bread. Mouth-feel is light and watery. Overall, this is an enjoyable beer. I would liken it to a Michelob that was not fully processed; this is what comes to mind. I think this would be an excellent beer to have with Mexican food. I really recommend this one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 AmEricanbrew (4890) - Belcher, Louisiana, USA - APR 8, 2010
Clear golden color/ no head. Spicy hop, pils malt aromas. light to medium bodied. Decent dry pils, grainy malt flavors with mild spice hops.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FishManLA (337) - Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA - APR 3, 2010
Pours a light clear yellow with only a small fizzy head that dissipates almost immediately. Yeasty nose. Nice clean taste with sweet pale malts apparent but leaning to the hoppy side, especially as the taste transitions into the short finish of tangy-tart hops. A decent, clean, fresh tasting pilsner, but not a standout.
