COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Solaris Saison from the 2012 bottling that has been aging for another year in French Oak. During the last months of aging fresh apricots were added to the barrels and then packaged into what you’re holding today. Expect big brettanomyces nose and profile finished with soft tones of apricot as it warms. Cheers, Jeff Crabtree."

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange-golden pour with thin to no white head, aroma brought notes of nice soft apricot, peach, stone fruit with a hint of slight lemon, biscuit, hints of grape and apple, slight herbs, spices, touch of bready malts. Taste is a mix of slightly tart apricot, peach and pear, hints of grape, slight apple, hints of biscuit, bread, slight spice and herbal notes, finishing fairly sweet, slightly tart with the apricot. Pretty decent on tap.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of straw, apricot and sour citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of straw, apricot and light citrus with a smooth dry lingering apricot finish.

Sampled at the brewery. The aroma is funky, fruity, lemon rind. The flavor is fruity, dusty, slight tartness, grainy. This is a great saison.

A - pours hazy orange amber with low head. No real lacing. S - aromas of citrus (cuties), tang!, brown sugar, yeast, strong bretts. Really nice. M - bright front to a thicker fuller end. Average carb. Full palate. End bitters as it warms. T - bretts come on strong when first opened but mellow quickly. Orange fruit with pith, grasses, yeast, bretts, hay, light metallic notes. O - actually quite good. Reminds me of logsdons seizon. 3.7

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a lightly cloudy orange appearance with an off white head. Somewhat spicy, big oaky, light veggie, peach/apricot, tropical fruity, vanilla, light DMS aroma. More DMS comes through in the flavor along with a bunch of oak, vanilla, light butter, apricot, tangy flavor. I was looking forward to this but it ended up being a messy, unpleasant experience. Low boost because I do not drink so much
