An Old-style German wheat ale with a short lactic fermentation. Light and crisp with an acidic sour bite that aims to please. Traditionally served with raspberry or woodruff syrup, but can be enjoyed without. 60% wheat and 40% barley. Fermented with German Weizen yeast and Lactobacillus at 75 degrees Fahrenheit (23.9 Celsius).

Nice tart Berliner aroma. Maybe hints of pear in there. Mostly tart flavors. A bit of fruit flavors in there. Not quite a a tart as some Berliners. Prefer The Bruery's Berliner to this, but an enjoyable Berliner for sure. Flavor is very full. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled, new JFK bottle. Very hazy yellow pour with a light foamy cream head. There is a lot of yeast in the bottom of the glass, quite a bit of particle. The aroma is pretty sour, also light wheat smell. The taste is initially pretty sour, fizzy on the tongue. The finish is very yeasty, medium bodied. A good berliner weisse.

Had on tap at The Mayor of Old Town. The aroma is fruity, slight lemon rind, and grainy. The flavor is grainy, lemony, slight tartness. Not bad.

Hazed yellow with quite a big bright white head. Flavors of wheat, lemons, tartness is more muted than I would hope for. Overall clean and refreshing.

Big bottle from Wilbur’s. Pale yellow appearance and cloudy with a dissipating white head. The aroma is wheat malts, tart fruits, lemons, wild yeast and grass. Similar flavor with a light sour bite. Pretty thin body with a crisp feel and a nice lingering finish. Refreshing as fuck.

Lemony funky and semi sweet aroma. No head and goldenrod colored. Taste is tart lemony citrus. Simple and easy to drink with a slight white wine type of flavor.

Pour cloudy pale yellow with a white head that disappears very quickly. The aroma has lemon and orange citric tartness, pale wheat, some bubblegum and a bit of tart apples. Crisp body that is light and refreshing and has a sharp carbonation punch. The taste starts out with lemony citrus, pepper, sharp wheat and some lactic acidity. The finish has a touch of sweetness and must, but it still has a nice sourness to it. Good Berliner Weisse.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Lemon smell as the cap came off. Hazy lemonade color with a big fizzy white head. Somewhat funky lemon aroma. Med body, almost. Flavor started acidic, citrus, not very sour, turned funky, then got sour. Then left a very, very light sweat sox aspect. Everything about this beer is on a fast track. Good stuff.

Pours a translucent pale yellow. Aromas of lacto, wheat/straw, pretty straightforward, with a little bit of citrus as well. Taste is nicely tart, yeasty, and more wheat. Light body with a drying finish.
