Pours hazy pale golden with a puffy white head, very fine diminishing lacing. Aromas of lemon, hay, banana, and wheat bread. Medium-thin body, velvety, crisp. Mildly sweet, solidly sour, light bitter finish. Drinkable and more sessionable, but not as sour as others I’ve had of this style. Pairs well with brats and sauerkraut.

22oz bottle courtesy of ablackshear. Thanks! Pours a bright yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma is wheat, citrus, lemon. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is lightly sour, tart is a better word, with hints of lemon and clove. Very tasty.

Bottle from Scott - thanks! Pours a light and glowing yellow with a bit of haze and an extremely quickly fading white head. Aroma is dry, light wheat malt with a touch of tart. Taste is clean wheat with a slight bit of hefe type clove (the contribution from the weizen yeast I’d imagine) and a nice, clean tartness into and through the finish. Light and clean mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Bottle. Appearance is very reminiscent of apple juice and no head. Smells of bread, yeast, biscuit, wheat, and light green apples. Taste is much the same, very wheaty with citrus and a light tart finish. Body is thin with medium carbonation. Highly refreshing and not bad for the style. Great for hot summer days.

Poured from bottle into bowl glass. No head on the pour, bubbles go away in an instant and very little fizz there after. Nose has nice citrus, orange and bread yeast. For being filtered and so clear, the flavors were quite surprising. Very tart and sour to begin with a nice lemon and wheat flavor, but the flavors seem to disintegrate the longer you let it sit. Nothing too special, but I would drink another.

Big thanks to fortsambo for sending some of this out my way. Served in a Mikasa tulip. Pours a hazy light golden color with a white head that fizzles away immediately, faster than soda. No lacing or collar. A bit disappointing, even for the style. The nose Has some wheat with a touch of acidity. A bit breads as well. Quite wheaty, actually. The flavor is very wheaty with some backing grain. Very faint tartness. Some dryness throughout. Very light body with good carbonation, bordering on spritzy. Tesla or and feel seem to be a bit young to me, and maybe this could have used a bit more time with some yeast and bacteria. Perhaps not quite ready when it was bottled, though this is a faintly nice Berliner.

Bottle, 04/01/2012. Pours straw gold, slight haze, head dies down quickly to leave lively champagne bubbles. Aroma is simple but nice with light pale malts, wheat, lemon and apples, slightly tart, and light musty barnyard. Flavor follows suit, with pale malts and juicy, sweet lemon with a tart bite. The palate manages to be both crisp and full, there’s a great depth to the flavor, and very drinkable. This really hit the spot after a long day, solid.

On tap at Falling Rock in Denver. Pours hazy yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is of wheat, peppercorn, lemon, and barn floor. Definitely smells musty and inviting. Taste is of wheat, fruit including lemons and some apple, and sugar. Has a fair amount of peppercorn as well. Very carbonated and easy to drink. An enjoyable beer.

Pint @ Falling Rock. Murky golden color, smallish head, active carbonation. Nose is lacto and a little banana/clove. Smells great. Nice body due to carbonation. Lemon lacto flavor, grainy wheat and a little fruitiness. Crisp and refreshing, a very nice example although a little unusual with the chocie of German weizen yeast. Would love to have easy access to this.
