Beaver (913) - Fort Collins, USA - DEC 22, 2011
750ml bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow with a fizzy white head that diminishes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is sweet fruits (peaches) and some vanilla / wood with some vinous floral notes.

The flavor is sweet and slightly tart peaches and cherries leading to a dry white wine-like finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, an interesting fruit wheat. The barrel definitely makes it more interesting.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle from 2011, pour is nice and hazy orange-yellow with fluffy white head, very lively carbonation. Aroma has notes of big notes of sweet peaches, slight cherry, white grape with a definite wine/zinfandel grape note, hints of musty and dusty earth, touch of funky in there as well. Taste is a nice mix of sweet peach and pear notes, hints of dusty earth and slight funk but pretty restrained, sweet wine notes mix, finishing fairly dry and sweet but highly carbed to push it through the palate. Good, definitely interesting!

Ernest (5184) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy medium to dark yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (apricot), with notes of peach candy, green grapes. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. A simple, tart peach-heavy fruit beer. The peach smells more like peach candy than real peaches. Little to no evidence of the barrel aging. Overall average for a fruit beer.

Bottle @ home. Very cloudy, yellow orange appearance with a pearl white head. Strong peaches, light cherries, yeast, dry wine, wheat malty nose. Tangy, strong peach pulpy, mild red fruity, yeasty, wheat malty flavor with a mild, wine, dry finish. Pretty tasty beer- I really like what these guys have been up to lately!

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a hazy yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of peaches, wheat, light cherry and light oak. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of wheat, peach, light cherry and a hint of wine with a smooth lingering peach finish.
